Zingy Lemon Garlic Hummus

You know hummus. You love hummus. You buy it every week at the grocery store. But do you know what’s better than your favorite store-bought hummus? Homemade hummus. Making your favorite dip from scratch may sound intimidating, but it is actually quite easy – seriously!

We adore a traditional hummus recipe, but we also love playing around with our homemade hummus by experimenting with different flavor combinations: garlic, spinach, beet, artichoke and sweet potato, to name a few.

We are sharing a WINNER of a recipe with you today – a flavor-filled easy homemade hummus recipe. This simple and delicious recipe from @kailascleanplate makes the dreamiest Lemon Garlic Hummus using our Ancient Olive Trees Olive Oil 🍋😋

The ingredient list is modest – these items may already be staples in your pantry. Despite using basic ingredients, this dip is full of flavor! The secret is adding the juice of one whole lemon for a citrusy kick and the tablespoon of apple cider vinegar for some zing.

The Ingredients: 
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 very large spoonful of tahini, about 1/3 cup
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large lemon, juiced
1/2 cup water
1/2 to 1 full tbsp red pepper flakes, depends on how much heat you want
Cracked pepper and pink salt to taste
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2-3 tbsp minced garlic (I find this works better than whole garlic!)

The Recipe: 
Add all ingredients to a high speed blender for 5 minutes.
